Back in the 90ies, the clublife in the small city of Subotica was very rich and it offered a great variety of domestic as well as foreign dj gigs. At the same time local dj scene had its own expansion in which, the most popular was dj Miguelle. The two of his great fans and friends were Goya and Natasha. Natasha started to buy records because of her great passion for electronic music. At that time she was very fond of Sasha, John Digweed, Harry and Jane, etc. After Miguelle’s death, the local Play4u organization turned into Funpro4 organization, based on friendship and the great similarity in music taste. Along with Timika, Natasha, Mad Matt and Eezt came another member Goya, who started to work together with Natasha in back2back version. In 2006 they became Club’n’bar resident djs. Their favourite labels are Dumb Unit, Foundsound, Stock 5 and Clever, and as for the producers - Seph, Barem, Butane, John Gaiser, Someone Else, Lee Curtis, etc. Their music style is characterized as minimal-tech.

Devedesetih godina je subotička klupska scena bila bitan faktor srpskoj klupskoj eliti, možda i najbitniji. To je bilo školsko vreme subotičkih DJ talenta, koji su danas poznati DJ-evi. Mnogi subotički klaberi danas se rado sete DJ Miguelle-a. To su najčešće bili njegovi fanovi i publika. Jedna od njih je i Nataša Tonković, koja je iz ljubavi prema muzici počela da kupuje ploče. Tada je slušala Sashu, John-a Digweed-a, Harry & Jane, itd. Nakon odvajanja od Play4Underground DJ organizacije i Miguelle-ove smrti, nastala je prijateljska organizacija FunPro4. Danas je to samo povod za Natashu, Timiku, Goyu i Eezt-a da naprave dobru zabavu, par puta godišnje. 2003. godine Natasha upoznaje Gojka, koji se iz Sivca preselio u Suboticu, od kada nastupaju kao DJ dvojac. To je bio dovoljan razlog da Gojko postane subotički FunPro4 DJ, a kasnije i Club 'n' Bar rezident DJ zajedno sa Natašom. Omiljene ploče u setu su im one koje su izdate pod etiketama Dumb Unit, Foundsound, Stock 5, Clever ili producente: kao Seph, Barem, Butane, John Gaiser, Someone Else, DJ Emerson, Samim&Michal....... Muzički stil im je minimal-tech...2006. godine Goya i Natasha se pridružuju muzičkoj organizaciji Club 'n' Bar i pored Daniela Aleksandra, Furmana i Žepe postaju DJ rezidenti Club 'n' Bar klupskih noći!

If we talk about authentic, modern Macedonian electronic music, we talk about ROBOTEK. He is definitely the one who is most advanced, both in a technical an spiritual use of the machines that create sound. His sound is noticeably more developed, deeper and stronger than everything else you can find in Macedonia. His musical development is obvious logical progression, beginning with the obscure atari sound experiments circa 1996; early warp influenced protoelectro stuff around 1998; the trip in deep techno and house territory at the turn of the century; and finally new wave electro madness where his head is just about now. He is part of PMG RECORDINGS since its beginnings, contributing tracks for their first compilations of modern Macedonian electronic music in 1999. Since than he becomes regular playing live at their parties in Skopje and Macedonia. He has also had international experience, playing in Hungary, Bulgaria, Albania, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, the USA, so far.

In March 2004 he released his debut lp ROBOTEK on PMG Recordings and toured the country, which helped raising his popularity in larger proportions. This album is by all means the most sophisticated Macedonian electronic music release so far.

His second album 'Mini' was released in September 2006 by PMG recordings, and represents significant development for his unique sound. Apart from playing live his own music, these days he’s busy producing PMG KOLEKTIV music, working as a studio sound designer, doing music for films and commercials. His live set is a long fluent mix of electro, house and techno parts, put all together in a very modern manner. Stay tuned to ROBOTEK.

As a member of the IntoSomething organisation and resident in club k4 he is another representative of the minimal-tech house scene.
He was heavily influenced by the music from his cousin Fedja and brother Roja. He started djing 7 years ago and has been playing parties all over Slovenia. From club k4 where he is resident, to 'Gospodarsko razstavišče' where a massive party takes place once a year, Fun factory, Media park, Tivoli and other smaller clubs across the country. He played abroad at the Exit Festival in 2004 (k4 floor), Exit 2007, Gheizza club(Madrid), El Portinio (La Corunia), Hartera festival(Croatia), Tequila club(Bulgaria), Fun Academy(Croatia). He is also working hard on his first release.

Today he is living in Slovenia and working as a freelance cameraman for different tv stations and in Luksuz production, where he is a coordinator for projects in Latino countries. As a vj he is working with Intsomething kru in K4 club in Ljubljana. Gustav jr pripada prvoj generaciji DJ-a. Još 1997. godine počeo je da se bavi clubbingom, kada je vodio i bio vlasnik underground kluba The Club u Subotici koji je afirmisao mnoge danas poznate DJ-eve. Godine 1999. bio je organizator naširoko poznatog ETNO CAMP partyja gde su se predstavila mnogo važna imena elektronske muzike: Big Bud, Palotai, Poli, Guntar, Cadik, Mango, Miguelle, Mirko Popov, MadMatt, Lajko Felix /live act sa dj-ima. Gustav je predstavnik break beat scene. U njegovom muzičkom koferu možete naći njemu omiljena izdanja: Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Evil 9, Stanton Wariors, Adam Freeland, Freak Nasty, DJ Hyper i Fingerlickin izdanja. U dosadašnjem stvaralaštvu Dj Gustav jr je sarađivao sa mnogim važnim imenima elektro zvuka među kojima su na primer: Pedro, Nadia, Garfield, Eezt, WB41, Bady Holy, Aron B i Timika (saradnica Summer3p festivala). Uz rano preminulog Dj Miguelle-a, jedan je od prvih propovednika elektronske kulture na našim prostorima. U Etno Campu odradio 8 velikih partija u periodu od1999 do 2002 posle toga je glavni muzički urednik S3P festivala koji se održava i ove godine. 2006 S3P je radio sa svetskim imenima kao što su Freestylers, Chris Carter, SCSI-9, Big Bud.

Exlex vj Crew je osnovan decembra 2006.g. Exlex čine dva člana: Matyas Kalman-Mao i Zoltan Smieško. Mao i ja smo se upoznali u umetničkoj skoli koju smo obojica pohađali. Znao sam da se Mao bavi vizualnim efektima-vj, stvar me je zanimala pa sam otišao u Mono-ElectriClub da vidim šta radi. Dogovorili smo se da ću mu raditi animacije. Animacijske loopove koje sam uradio kao npr. trčanje, hodanje i vožnja biciklom kao i delove iz mojih animiranih filmova, Mao je puštao u okviru svog nastupa. Svativši da imamo ista shvatanja te da se odlično dopunjujemo osnovali smo Exlex. U početku je korišćen Resolum a kasnije smo prešli na Modul 8. Naš prvi zajednički nastup bio je u Subotici gde sam animaciju izrađivao na licu mesta tokom nastupa na snimke koje smo tamo pravili. Zajedno se dogovaramo o temama koje koristimo za naše nastupe, uvek pokušavamo koristiti nove teme i izraditi nov materijal. Nakon što smo odabrali temu odlazimo na snimanje, a nakon snimanja montiramo materijal.

Ponekad radimo odvojeno loopove, tada Mao snima i montira, a ja radim animacije i specijalne efekte. Za jedan nastup obično uradimo 350 loopova. Loopovi se dodatno masking i efektiraju, a dodajem i animacije. Po potrebi radimo i dodatne vizualne efekte. Krajnja faza našeg rada se događa na samom nastupu, kada mixujemo vizuelni materijal i tako se rađa sasvim nov vizualni materijal. Granice zavise isključivo od naše kreativnosti.

Za naš rad koristimo dva Macintosh laptopa, softver za prikazivanje je modul8, a takođe imamo i Beringher midi i mixetu Edirol v4. Od softvera koristimo: Final Cut Pro, Moho, Live Type i Flash. Nemamo poseban tehnički elemenat koji bi izdvojili, jer samo zajedničko delovanje svih elemenata daje dobar rezultat.

Do sada smo radili na žurkama gde su svirali:
Oliver Hacke, Anton Kubikov, Mirko Popov, Robotek, Kissy Sell Out, Lovely Jonjo, Optimo, Kate Boss itd.

Piano, solo singing, traditional Hungarian and South-Slavonic folk music, dance-funk-soul madness of the 80s, Madchester, psychedelia, electro- & synth-pop... This is how it all begаn... During my seven-year long stay in Budapest, beside getting an MA degree in English language and literature, I got highly valuable musical experience (FMK, X-Lab, Fáklya Klub, Tilos Radio, Cinetrip, Kecel, various concerts, gay parties, illegal parties). All this colour and variety that has been present throughout my life, is just as necessary when we talk about my dj sets and choice of music. My music selection is based on originality and good groove, but subtlety and emotional colouring, the existence of a unique and compact story in the song is even more important to me. If I had to simplify and categorise, it would be house with all its subgenres – electro, minimal, techno – that could be used to label my sets.

Besides doing my regular jobs in minority education projects, I play out at home, in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Hungary on a regular basis. I also practice music production and I often work as a promoter. Some artists of international fame that we did parties with: Dave Mothersole, SCSI-9, Terry Francis, Eddie Richards, Cassy, Electric Indigo, Alison Marks, Rennie Pilgrem, Chris Carter, Anton Kubikov, etc. Since last year I have been doing the job of one of the music editors of the Summer3p Festival in Palic. I have recently become a member of the Club’n’Bar organization in Novi Sad www.clubnbar.co.yu
Right now there’s the festival season ahead, and I’m going to play at the Exit 2007 Festival in Novi Sad and the Summer Youth Games in Senta.

Klavir, solo pevanje, dance-funk-soul ludilo 80ih, Madchester, psychedelia, electropop… Tako je sve počelo… Za vreme sedmogodišnjeg boravka u Budimpešti, pored MA diplome iz engleskog jezika i književnosti, stekla sam i neizmerno puno muzičkih iskustva (FMK, X-Lab, Tilos Radio, Cinetrip, Kecel, gay partii, ilegalne zurke, koncerti, itd.) Ta šarenolikost koja je oduvek bila neophodna u mom životu je isto tako bitna kad su u pitanju moji dj setovi i izbor muzike. Muzički izbor mi se bazira na originalnosti i dobrom groove-u, ali su mi još važnije suptilnost i emotivna obojenost pesme i postojanje jedinstvene i kompaktne priče u istoj. Trenutno puštam minimal house, electro house i electro pop, zapravo bilo šta što mi se dopadne i što mislim da je zanimljivo i za ples. Veoma mi je drago što sam kao dj redovan gost u Sloveniji, BiH, Makedoniji, Hrvatskoj, Albaniji, Madjarskoj i na Kosovu, što smo zahvaljujući delovanju Play4U i Funprofor ekipe slušali veliki broj naših omiljenih stranih dj-eva u Subotici, i organizovali/odsvirali bezbroj žurki koje su za pamćenje baš zbog muzičkih doživljaja i iznenađenja. Alex Meshkov aka Nooncat Alex was born in the old Russian town of Smolensk in the family of military paramedics. With his parents getting assignments all around Russia and abroad, Alex traveled a lot with them, including several unforgettable years in Germany. In the year 1989 he moved over to reside in Moscow. As it often happens in medical families, he decided to follow his parents' professional tradition, but after spending two years in the Moscow Medical Academy Alex understood that medicine was not his purpose in life - he decided to quit without any doubts. In 1993 he found himself interested in avant-garde fashion. He learned to cut and to saw on his own by the books; drawing was always one of his favorites. Simultaneously with fashion-design Alex works on art-objects - his works have been exhibited in the Central House of Artists in Moscow; one of the most interesting exhibitions took place in Yekaterinburg. In the year 1996 the "PTUCH" magazine awarded Alexei Meshkov as the best avant-garde designer - he received their "Golden Ptuch" prize. Alex coped with his fame in a rather strange way - quite soon he became bored with fashion design. Long before taking his final decision to become a DJ, Alex was making his own mixes for his fashion shows. His first dj-set on the turntables was played on the 28th of December 1996 in "Aquatoria" club. Later Alex could be spotted appearing under the name of DJ Tuk in various Moscow night clubs. In a while he became the resident-DJ of the legendary "Substation" radio station, being remembered from that time for industrially-dark atmosphere of his night airs - Psychic TV & Trobbing Gristle, dark ambient & trip-hop, Saturday morning techno & electro shows. After the "Substation" was closed, Alex played as a DJ at the "Station 2000" and "Dynamite" radio stations. Today the name of DJ Meshkov is associated with an epoch of the Russian dance culture as well as with a significant list of night-clubs, including "Luch", "A-Club", "Treasures Island" ("Ostrov Sokrovish"), "Hippopotamus", "Chudo-Bar", "Park", "Virus", "Third Way" ("Trety Put'"), "Djusto", "Gerzen", "KakBy", "Gramophone", "Budda-Bar", "Propaganda", "Metro", "Territory", "Gorod", "MIX", as well as Kazantip, Instanziya, Forts & Creamfields music festivals. From the year 1999 Alex creates music under the name of "Nooncat", his personal musical project. Nooncat's smart and neatly true tracks have been released on the German labels: Salo, Trapez, Konvex-Konkav. Currently he works with Treibstoff and Trenton Rec. companies. His best EP's have been released in Cologne & Frankfurt: "Snowdust", "Pop Korn", "Under The Moon, Under The Sun", "Down The Room", "Blue Screen". The complete editions of "Down The Room" and "Blue Screen" EP's have been sold out in a week after their releases. In 2004 the Moscow "16 Tonns" club awarded Nooncat with a famous "Golden Gargoyle" as the best dance project of the year. The live sets of Nooncat have been performed in the clubs of Cologne, Leipzig, Berlin, Skopje; live dj sets of DJ Meshkov could have been heard on the dance floors in England, Macedonia, Germany, Austria, Poland and all across Russia. At the present time Alex Meshkov is the resident of the most popular among Moscow's bohemia "MIX" club and of the Deepmix Moscow Radio; he often appears in "Shanti" and "Gorod" night clubs. His DJ-ing style is rather wide and variable, however always original: from minimal to tech-house and techno with imperative romantic vibes of neo-trance moods.

02:30 – 04:00 Anton Kubikov (Kompakt, Protez, Russia)

Anton Kubikov was born on the 4th of June, 1975 in Moscow. He started spinning records in 1994 in one of the first techno clubs in Moscow - the Hermitage. He soon became a very popular and respected figure on the Moscow DJ scene, and was constantly invited to play in many clubs – Relax, Treasure Island, Moby Dick, Ptyuch, Utopia, X-Dance and others. From 1995 till 2001 he worked at most popular Moscow techno radio station called "Stancia 106.8".

From 2001 till 2003 he was a resident of most underground Mix club with Alex Meshkov, Sergey Sapunov, Sergey Sancges, Dj Helga, dj Zorkin and other best Moscow djs. Anton is one of the organisers and the chief ideologic inspirer of the Techno Thursdays in the internet-pub Phlegmatic Dog from 2003 till 2005 – the parties that have been extremely successful with techno music fans and most demanding club-goers in Moscow.

The joint project of Anton Kubikov and Maxim Milutenko SCSI-9 and also their other projects are very popular in Russia as well as abroad. They now have more than 30 releases, mostly with German labels.

In 2005 they set up their own label Pro-Tez together with Anton’s old friend Ed Karapetyan, who has been living in Los Angeles for years. Pro-Tez features intelligent dance, minimal and ultradeep music by Russian and international artists.

Over more than 10 year of his DJ career Anton has played at practically all clubs that ever existed and are still open in Moscow. He also visited many clubs ouside Moscow - in St.-Petersburg, Odessa, Kiev, Mariupol, Syktyvkar, Kirov, Kharkov, Smolensk, Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Postov-on-Don, Riga, Vilnus, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, Togliatti, Samara, Saratov, Magnitogorsk, Krasnodar and many others. Abroad, his sets could be heard in Fabric (London), WMF (Berlin), Maria (Berlin), Moscow Cafe (Berlin), also in Warsaw and Zurich... He played together with Herbert, Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, Tobias Thomas, Craig Richards, Electric Indigo, Sven Vaeth, Stacey Pullen, Pascal F.E.O.S., Roman Fluegel, Dimbiman, Marcus Nikolai, Dirk Diggler, Matthias Schaffhaeuser, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and many many others, and took part in Love Parade (Berlin) in 1999 and 2000.

Motorcity was born in 2003, as the underground project of two djs/producers from Serbia. Inspired by the future, machines, Underground Resistance, Detroit and its music... The sound of Motorcity was born, still undefined and raw, Motorcity sound is what it is. Motorcity does live acts presented by Mario Crnković and Danijel Dragić and a third Motorcity member... Motorcity's secret technician a.k.a. The Underground Technician. Live acts are presented with analogue machines, various rhythm machines, old and new school synthesizers, desk mixers, and state of the art computers.

Motorcity DJ sets are presented by Mario Crnković, with his "UR" like dj skills. He combines intelligent Detroit music, with artists such as Juan Atkins, Metroplex, Drexciya, and deeper and industrial Detroit techno. Elektronskom muzikom se počinje baviti sredinom 90ih godina kada se se u društvu pojavili prvi trekovi elektronske muzike. Dok njegovi prijatelji više vole techno, njega interesuje house scena Njujorka i Francuske. Do 1999. se upoznaje sa osnavama elektronske muzike, kupuje svoju prvu ploču. U početku pod uticajem originalnog Play4underground-a i ostalih subotičkih dj-eva nabavlja house muziku. Na jednoj žurki se upoznaje sa članovima tadašnje Speed Progress ekipe (DFNDR, PeeWee, Adam V), brzo se sprijatelje i počinju zajedničke svirke po manjim mestima. U Budimpešti za vreme gimnazije se upoznaje sa tamošnjom techno scenom, koja je tada vec jako razvijena zahvaljujući organizaciji Deadcode i mega-parti serijala Hyperspace što se održavalo u čuvenoj fabrici Patex. Slušajući Adam Beyera, Sven Vatha, Marco Carolu i mnoge druge odlučuje se za promenu stila na funky-techno.

U godini 2000. kupuje svoju dj opremu i postaje član Speed Progress-a.Prvi veće nastupe je imao na parti serijalu Atomage 1-5, a prateći i ostalu scenu u gradu upoznaje se s Miguellom koji ga je pozvao na takmičenje u djing-u u Novom Sadu. Prvo mesto na takmičenju mu obezbeđuje više nastupa i to u Novom Sadu, Beogradu, Subotici, B. Topoli, u Madjarskoj, itd.

Postaje jedan od mnogih rezidenta Lifke, uglavnom nastupa u organizaciji Nym-a i Speed Progress-a na žurkama se poznatim techno imena Evrope i naravno TTP. Do 2003.god. radi u raznim klubovima Subotice i okoline, jedno vreme pauzira nastupe,ali ljubav prema muzici ga nikad ne ostavlja, pa 2006.god pokreće manju parti seriju u lokalnim klubovima pod imenom Sominimal, gde uvek 200-250 njih uživa u muzici. Od tada njegov stil je minimalna elektronska muzika. Voli ovaj stil jer smatra da je flexibilan, minimalni zvukovi se dobro miksaju sa elektrom i technom, i kao fuzija svega ovoga se ovaj stil zove minimal-tech Od godine 2007. se opet pojavljuje na većim dešavanjima: u maju je radio pored švedskog techno guru-a Karija Lekebuša, a 29. jula nastupa na palićkom festivalu elektronske muzike Summer3p...

Božinoski Bojan a.k.a. dj Kibz startuje karijeru 2000-te, inspirisan mixevima Stacie Pullen-a, Dave Clarke-a, Richie Hawtin-a i drugih velikana. Ubrzo nakon početka ulazi u DJ At Work iz Subotice gde sa frontmenom organizacije, dj Angelboy-em nastupa po lokalnim dešavanjima širom Subotice! 2003-e, zajedno sa dj Krabbs-om osniva organizaciju K-Player gde sa njim postaje resident u dancing baru Backstage!Pohvale i pozitivni komentari za njegov rad na 2 i 3 gramofona, doveli su ga do stadijuma da vrti po zemljama bivše Jugoslavije, po Mađarskoj i do rezidenture u jednom od najjačih klubova Srbije (club Lifka) gde se generalno upoznaje sa dj Dfndr-om i ulazi u njegovu organizaciju Speed Progress. Radeći sa velikim imenima (Marco Carola, Dave Clarke, The Advent, Misjah, Danilo Vigorito, Hardcell, Virgin Helena, La Di Da, Marco Lenzi itd...) Kibz stiče veliko iskustvo (što u mixanju, a što u produkciji), dovodeći masu u euforiju svaki put kad stane za mix pultom (njegov rad je pohvaljen i od strane Luke Slater-a koji je i sam izjavio da vidi svetlu buducnost za njega) kako ne bi ni jednog klabera ostavio ravnodušnim! Trekovi mu još nisu objavljeni, ali se sa dj Dfndr-om u skorije vreme očekuje izdanje u žanru techna!

Darko Tumbas rođen je u Subotici 1981. god., a prvi ozbiljniji kontakt sa elektronskom muzikom je imao '98 kada se susreće sa Goa trance-om. Kasnije pronalazi techno, gde ga fasciniraju trekovi i mixevi Jeff Mills-a, Stacey Pullen-a, Autechre. Leta '99 sa prijateljem Adamom Vukmanov (Adam V) osniva "Speed progress" organizaciju koja je tada bila glavni predstavnik techno zvuka na radio talasima sa emisijom "Erection", koja se emitovala na City radiju i bila plod saradnje sa ekipom pokojnog Lindemana i Sanje Laci. Darko nakon ukidanja radio emisije sa Adamom počinje planirati i organizovati manje partije. Prvi nastup imao je u klubu "Cream", nakon čega je na poziv Biači Arona usledio niz bukinga u "First club"-u (Atomage 1-5), gde je imao priliku da radi sa mnogim velikanima tog perioda…Budai, Sterbinsky, Hot X, Leo Licra, Nakon upoznavanja sa Dejanom Milićevićem i Marko Nastićem iz TTP ekipe jos više ulazi u anale elektronske muzike i uz njihovu pomoć istančava svoj muzički stil i tehniku mixovanja, a veliku pomoć u pronalaženju dobrih muzičkih izdanja i podršku imao je od Dj Buce. Tada njegova karijera kreće uzlaznom putanjom i počinje da radi i van Subotice Čačak, Kraljevo, Novi Sad, Šabac…a do sada neostvarena želja mu je da radi u klubovima "Tresor" i "Fabric". Nakon uspešnih nastupa dobija priliku da radi u klubu "Lifka", u kojem je i dan danas zajedno sa Dj Kibzom rezident, i podrška mnogim slavnim imenima (Dave Clarke, Rush, Oliver Ho, Valentino Kanzyani, Slobodan, Advent, Luke Slater) u nadi da će jednog dana ugostiti Richi Hawtin-a i Surgeon-a. Kao produkt upornog truda i rada u februaru 2005. sa Kornelom (Shirfy) pokreće "Speed progress records", prvi techno samizdat u okolini. Prvo izdanje ove etikete je dobilo pozitivne ocene i kritike. Trenutno radi na brojnim projektima vezanim za etiketu, kao i na planovima za pokretanje modne linije.

Danton Dragic, (Danijel Dragić) was born 21.01.1984 in Zagreb, Croatia. Danton Dragić’s history of music starts at a very young age. His father was a singer who recorded albums for former Yugoslavian major label Jugoton. As a kid he played in the backstage of his father’s concerts, music studios, annoyed studio musicians and listened to his father recording music. He loved children’s plastic guitars, little kid piano’s and to scratch his parents’ records. In year 1992 the war in Yugoslavia started. His family moved from Zagreb, Croatia to Subotica, Serbia.

In his teenage years he discovered hip-hop that showed him that music had soul, and gave him a strong belief that music was much more than the local media presented to Serbian people in early 90’s. Through this black music, he learned about beats, melody, vocals, and structure of songs. Those were his first steps in songwriting and beat making. In year 99’ he was introduced to electronic music by his friends. Most of them are today important people of the Subotica/Serbian electronic scene. He learned the art of mixing, and started visiting parties all over the Balkans. He met a lot of DJs and producers who expanded his views of electronic music, and introduced him to various genres of it. In his high school years he visited clubs in most of Europe and listened to DJs who had a great influence on him: Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Hell, Steve Bug, Miss Kittin and The Hacker, Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier, Technasia, Superpitcher, The Youngsters, Stacey Pullen, John Tejada, Matthew Dear, Llorca, Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Loco Dice, Magda, Dopplereffekt, Ian Pooley, Savas Pascalidis, Tiga. After leaving high school he started studying sound engineering at the Academy of Art in Belgrade. There he met interesting people, djs and producers, and many of those long conversations and sleepless nights with those people made him much of the person he is now.

After finishing the Academy, he went home to work on the Motorcity project with his friend Mario Crnkovic, on which he works still today as a producer and sound engineer in live acts. After 4 years collaborating with other artists/djs/producers on various projects, laboratory sound research, and creation of music, the first spark of individuality was born, Danton developed the Mathematix project. Mathematix is the first solo experiment/project of Danton Dragic. Mathematix is a blend of sound and video art, created by analog machines and state of the art software. The expression of artist’s inner state presented through sound and video.

Danton Dragic creates music with mathematic precision, beats, breakes and cuts are programmed to the perfection. His music is intelligent, deep, and micro. He spends more time in the studio than on the dance floor, making new beats and cuts, video stories and calculations. His appearances are rare and exclusive, crowd shaking and full of energy. Danton is currently in his studio working on his first solo album: Mathematix - Micro Nation. He is also the founder of the first Serbian sub-culture radio: Phonic.
